Certified biodynamic and organic estate in the sandy-soil Blewitt Springs sub-region, making Australia's most celebrated old-vine Grenache.
A leader in biodynamic Grenache
Yangarra Estate Vineyard sits in the Blewitt Springs sub-region above McLaren Vale - an area of sandy soils, native bushland and cool breezes. It was the first McLaren Vale vineyard to be certified both organic and biodynamic, and its High Sands Grenache is consistently ranked among Australia's greatest wines.
Rhone varietals and the Ovitelli
Under winemaker Peter Fraser, Yangarra makes a full suite of Rhone varietals (Grenache, Mataro, Shiraz, Roussanne, Viognier, Picpoul) and pioneered fermenting in ceramic eggs - the Ovitelli series. The estate's new immersive cellar door opened in 2023 and has already become a must-visit on any McLaren Vale wine tour.
