Charlie O'Brien's alternative-variety wine project showcased in a shared tasting room on Stump Hill Road, McLaren Flat.

A new-generation alt-variety project

Silent Noise Wines is Charlie O'Brien's small-scale alternative-variety label, focused on grapes you do not normally see in the McLaren Vale lineup - varieties from Spain, Portugal and southern Italy that suit the warming climate. Wild ferments, minimal additions, small volumes.

Where to taste

The wines are poured from a shared tasting room on Stump Hill Road in McLaren Flat. A natural stop for visitors who have already worked through the McLaren Vale Shiraz canon and want to try something different.
