Seafood kiosk and cafe at the Goolwa Beach carpark from the Goolwa Pipi Company - specialising in pipis (kuti) pulled from the beach out front.
Pipis straight from the beach
Kuti Shack sits at the Goolwa Beach carpark at the end of Beach Road, overlooking the Southern Ocean and the mouth of the Murray. Run by the Goolwa Pipi Company, the menu is built around kuti (pipis) - the prized shellfish harvested on the beach out front - served with linguine, in broths, or simply steamed in garlic and wine. There are also fish and chips, oysters and seasonal southern catches.
Casual by day, long table by night
The kiosk runs casual counter service through the day Friday to Monday, while Friday and Saturday evenings turn into a long-table dinner sitting with an expanded menu - bookings essential for dinner. The name 'kuti' is the Ngarrindjeri word for pipis, and the shack champions Indigenous-led sustainable harvest practices.
